910 Live Presents Double Platinum Selling Fuel

by admin on Sep.02, 2010, under Nightlife Industry

(GREATER PHOENIX, Ariz.) – 910 LIVE, the Valley’s new home for live music and entertainment, is
proud to present Fuel Saturday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m. Doors for the show will open at 6:00 p.m. Selling
over 3.5 million albums in the U.S., Fuel has toured the world, headlining venues and opening for bands such as
Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Creed, 3 Doors Down and recently Bon Jovi.
Advanced tickets priced at $20 are available now by calling 602.244.8444 or visiting www.910liveaz.com. Tickets
will increase to $25 the day of the show.
Since they burst onto the scene with their 1998 full-length debut Sunburn, Fuel has been a staple on rock
radio. After the massive success of “Shimmer,” Fuel released 2000’s Something Like Human, which featured
the hit singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” achieving double platinum status. After
3 years filled with touring, Fuel released 2003’s Natural Selection, which featured the hit “Falls On Me.”
Fuel is primed to pick up where they left off with their latest release, Angels And Devils, to add to an already
formidable list of achievements. Brett Scallions, original lead vocalist, is joined by Guitarist Yogi (Buckcherry/
Wallflowers), Bassist Brad Stewart (Shinedown), and Drummer Ken Schalk (Candiria) in the re-ignited Fuel. The
original line-up of Fuel has not been together since 1997, when original drummer Jody Abbott left the band.
“There is only one original of anything” exclaims Scallions, “and that includes Fuel. The original lineup with Carl,
Jeff, Jody and myself will always be something special to all of us, and our first Fuelies (a term for Fuel fans) but
it has been thirteen years since the original lineup was intact, and since then many great musicians have come and
gone. The lineup I put together for Fuel is not meant to replace or diminish what any of the original members
created. Just the opposite, it is to give our fans a live destination, and to keep the Fuel name alive for a new
generation to discover. Maybe someday we’ll all get on the same page and play together again, but life happens
and the next thing you know you just can’t jump on a bus and take off for a month, let alone a year.”

Valley residents put taste buds to the test September 7 – 26 at all four Valley locations

(GREATER PHOENIX, Ariz.)Z’Tejas invites Valley residents to enjoy a southwest culinary staple during the 2010 Chile Fest. Beginning Tuesday, September 7 and running through Sunday, September 26, Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill will offer their Chile Fest menu including various chile-infused dishes at all four Valley locations. One dollar from every entree on the menu, consisting of four flavorful dishes, will benefit Special Olympics Arizona.

“I look forward to Chile Fest every year because it not only shows off what our chefs can do with the chiles, but it also gives Z’Tejas an additional opportunity to be active in our local community,” said president and CEO Steven A. Micheletti.

Special Olympics Arizona aims to empower more than 180,000 Arizonans with intellectual disabilities to be healthy, productive, and respected members of society through year-round sports training, competition, and support programs. Each year children and adults with intellectual disabilities are given the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community through Special Olympics.
